Charlie’s loss can be your gain if you read what to do – and what not to do – if you find yourself on a speeding charge. Top solicitor Andrew Dalton explains all…
Dodgy eBay buyer
03 Apr 2014
I put my old Yamaha Fazer 1000 up on eBay, and had a chap visit for a look before placing a bid. I let him have a spin around the block, but he clipped an old lady on a zebra crossing. The police were involved, and he’s getting done for careless driving. That’s fair enough […]
Motorcycle courier caught in the act
07 Aug 2013
I am a motorbike courier in London and was in a rush to pick up a package. The traffic was really heavy so I hopped up on the curb, rode about 100 feet past all the traffic and turned left onto the main road. I then got pulled by the police.

Oulton race two
08 Oct 2011
I was 5th in class and 9th overall and I’m really happy. Conditions were drying all afternoon and it was a tough choice between wet or dry tyres. I went with wets, along with the majority of the grid, but nearly all the track was dry. Luckily, the few wet patches evened things out. I […]
Oulton race one
What a race! I was 6th superstock and 12th overall from 21st on the grid, and I beat Chris Barnes too! I made lots of changes to the set-up before morning warm-up and the bike was loads better, with the stability needed to use all the power. In the race I got a decent start […]
Ron Haslam Race School
05 Oct 2011
I have been on Ron’s Premier package twice in recent years – and can’t begin to tell you how much fun it is and how much you can learn.
Brands Hatch points and pics
23 Sep 2011
Despite the bad luck of breaking down at Pembrey, missing all the races there and having to ride the streetfighter at Brands, I’m still fifth in the points standings but by just two points. That’s worth fighting for so I’ll be going all out at the last two rounds to keep that place. Results, photos […]
Riding my 1st RBLR 1000 miles
21 Jun 2011
I had very mixed emotions prior to completing this challenge. On the one hand I was very nervous as I have never completed more than 150 miles in one go on the Bandit.

Mallory Park qualifying
09 Oct 2010
I’m on pole for the weekend, ahead of Andrew Plaskitt and Mark Andrew who are both going well. Keith Smith isn’t here as he’s sick, so get well soon Smiffy. More surprisingly Chris Matthews is also absent today. I spoke to him yesterday and he told me that the championship was practically out of reach […]
Brands race one
29 Aug 2010
I hope none of you reading this find what I’m about to write in any way boring or predictable, because I rode my heart out and the result is really exciting for me. I won. By 17 seconds. And I smashed the old lap record down to 49.6s. Before the weekend I’d thought how cool […]
Cadwell Park
30 May 2010
This weekend will be remembered as one where little went to plan. We’ve just had thunder, lightning, hail and now rain. I had to miss the test and first qualifying because I was working until 2am finishing a magazine deadline on Friday, the end of a 90hr week, then in this morning’s second qualifying I […]
Snet race 4
03 May 2010
My battery is dying so this will be short! I was second to Chris and fought off Andrew so I’m satisfied. Nigel was third in class B completing a great weekend for him and eight podium places out of a possible eight for the S&B Automotive Academy team. Pics and points to follow in the […]
Sunday race one
13 Sep 2009
I’m not sure what’s more incredible, the beautiful sunshine for the third day in a row in north west Wales or the podium I just scored on a Honda FireStorm. It came at the expense of bad fortune for Keith Smith, who highsided out of second place, but unhurt. Matthews took second, denied the win […]
Race two
12 Sep 2009
Race two was loads of fun, dicing with the Streetfighter B machines. I was fourth in class again and managed to grab sixth overall on the last lap. That’s the very best I could hope for this weekend, so I’m happy. The FireStorm is going well for what it is. I tried to improve the […]
