Custom made ear plugs by Ultimate Ear

02 May 2012

There’s a time in a man’s life when he has to face the truth. No longer is he a macho riding god, a cool rider oblivious to the elements, a rider in the storm. Here’s my review of custom made ear plugs by Ultimate Ear.

Andrew and Andy were both at a very busy OnYerBike Open Day last weekend. Lots of prize draw cards were given out and leaflets for this year’s RBLR1000 which is taking place 22th – 24th June. Here are some pictures from the show…

Fog City Insert - has my one died too quickly?

Fog City Insert – has my one died too quickly?

10 Nov 2011

I have ridden into London and up to Birmingham in foggy, drizzly weather, with the Fog City inner visor in my Shoei Qwest and I was surprised that I was getting fogged up – so that I was riding with my visor up at motorway speeds. My I nor visor has done about 4500 mile […]

Should riders wear dayglow jackets and white helmets?

Should riders wear dayglow jackets and white helmets?

28 Oct 2011

As a starting point, I do not wear a flourescent jacket or a white helmet unless I am working by the side of the road at a scene visit – so I can compare how drivers react to my usual riding gear of black Alpinestars textiles or leather, Rukka textiles or the Black Aerostich and […]

Streetfighters and GP1 races

23 Oct 2011

I won the Streetfighters race comfortably and then fitted a new soft tyre for GP1 which got me 12th and this lap time.

Mallory - last race

Mallory – last race

I won the last Streetfighter race by 20 seconds, enjoying riding hard for the hell of it. Between us we took the decision not to go out for the last GP1 race. My rear tyre is finished so I’d be off the pace and at risk of getting lapped by the leaders who will be […]

22 Oct 2011

I got pole in Streetfighters by a second, which was nice, and qualified 13th in GP1 despite going nearly a second quicker again. This looks like being a real rollercoaster weekend. The sun is out and I’m simply happy to be here.

Mallory, Streetfighters race 1

Mallory, Streetfighters race 1

Back to winning ways! I got away and won by 7s. It feels great to win again and it’s a reminder of just how tough GP1 really is. Two more races this afternoon, GP1 first.

Mallory GP1 and Streetfighter races

Riding in the beautiful weather today was joy incarnate. The bike is working brilliantly and is loads of fun. In the long GP1 race I was 12th overall and 6th Superstock (kind of). Three of us were covered by less than a second, though I was third of the trio. It was great to fight […]
