So I have just picked up my bike from its very first service, and she is now raring to go for the next 5400 miles – hooray!! :-)

Fingers crossed for good weather this weekend then, as we are hoping to take the bikes down to the South Coast for the bank holiday.

Speaking of which … if any bikers have a recommendation for a decent website for weather forecasts please let us know … I have no shame in admitting that I love riding my motorcycle in the sunshine, and I don’t love getting soaked and not being able to see the road ahead of me whilst riding!! I used to use the BBC site regularly but can’t get on so well with their new layout. Any ideas?

    uk.weather.com (or http://www.weather.co.uk)

Enter a location/postcode and it will give you pages with hour by hour forcasts and indicative weather for the next 10 days – useful if you’re packing for a forthcoming weekend.

Have found it to be reasonably accurate (well, as accurate as forecasting gets) and more useful than the BBC.

I use the metoffice.gov.uk, which I think supplies most of the other sites with their information.

    Thanks Simon and Clare.
We used a mixture of whichever sites we were able to upload (or download? or is it just plain load?) mobile versions for (there were slight issues with any sites relying on maps not text), and instinct!
Either through luck or skill we managed to avoid all rainy spells and get in some great riding time.
