My insurer is a ‘bobbing rastard’ as they have refused to pay out on a technicality. I have an R1, and I told them it was garaged, which it duly was.

Last April I spotted a Kawasaki VN 900 bike on Facebook marketplace. It was a 2009 bike but looked absolutely mint. I contacted the chap and after some back and forth we struck a deal.

Last week I took my Suzuki GSX750 to my local dealer for a service. They must have let the trainee have a crack at it as the idiots forgot to tighten up the back wheel properly.

29 Jul 2021

I’ve always loved bikes but have never had one myself and was thinking of doing my test. After chatting with my neighbour, who I have known for the past 10 years, he offered to take me out on the back of his bike.

The plan had been a romantic weekend with my fella. I booked us into a pub in the Lake District. We rocked up to the place and went to park up near the kitchen door on the side of the property, out of sight of the road.

I got spanked off my GSXR1000 by a van as I was filtering through traffic. I broke my femur and pelvis. As I was getting scooped up by the ambulance, the Old Bill said they would get the bike recovered.

I was riding down my local high street when suddenly this young lady dashed out in front of me off the pavement. It turns out she had her headphones in and was looking at her phone. I properly clumped her and thought I had seriously hurt her.

At the beginning of April, I decided to take my old FJR1200 to the supermarket as it has got a huge top box and panniers. I loaded up the old girl with the essentials to get through lockdown i.e. bread, milk, eggs, beer etc. So far, so good.

Usually my good lady and I head out for a day’s bike riding followed by a posh dinner and a glass or two for Valentines Day. Obviously this year no bike riding which is a shame because being on her bike is one of the places she’s happiest.

Let’s talk tyres – Motorcycle Fact Monday

My granddad’s the reason I got into biking and for over 20 years we’d regularly head out together. He died recently and as a tribute I wanted to ride his old Triumph T100R to his funeral.
