Gavin is a Solicitor and Partner at White Dalton Motorcycle Solicitors. Gavin’s love of law began with work experience at his local County Court (at the tender age of 16). Being able to clerk for the resident Judges and visiting Circuit Judges cemented his desire to pursue a career in law.
Law offers a wide range of options and after working for some of the largest Defendant law firms in the country (Morgan Cole, who merged and are now known as Blake Morgan LLP, and Berrymans Lace Mawer, who also merged and are now known as Clyde & Co) Gavin couldn’t turn away from civil litigation. The allure of a court room, filled with lawyers slugging it out was all Gavin needed to decide on his professional path, becoming a Solicitor and, specifically, a litigator.
Combined with his love for anything with an engine, Gavin fitted in naturally at White Dalton Motorcycle Solicitors and has, to date, recovered millions of pounds worth of compensation for his biker clients.
Gavin is accredited by the Law Society as a personal injury practitioner. He is also the firm’s Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration (COFA), which ensures the proper running of the firm and complying with relevant regulatory requirements.
When not in a court room, Gavin enjoys tinkering with his restored 1999 Suzuki TL1000R. He has ridden the Nurburgring on his Kawasaki ZZR1400 (where he hit 186mph) and toured Europe and Africa on his BMW GS. He also enjoys track days and wearing out his knee sliders.
Outside of the office he has served as a Police Officer for Surrey Police (9 years) and Thames Valley Police (4 years) with his last posting being on the Roads Policing Unit.
At home he enjoys a rather more sedate life, raising his two young children with his wife and dog, Winston.
