If you hadn’t agreed to take J’s case, and we’d have accepted all the original advice [from the insurance appointed solicitor], that the accident was 80% J’s fault and that it was quite acceptable to set his leg 45 degrees out and not notice during 6 months of follow-up appointments, I think he’d have had a settlement nearer £30k.
