Don’t surprise people

If you’re in an area where you’re likely to come into conflict with other road users then move at a speed that is not significantly greater than the flow of traffic. The last thing you want is to surprise people.

The common thing they’ll say after an accident is “the bike came out of nowhere”. Well it didn’t, did it? We don’t live in the Star Trek universe. It came out of somewhere – it didn’t materialise on your bonnet.

Do this

Bear in mind that drivers just don’t look, or don’t look properly.

Don’t do this
