This is not a political post designed to bash Brexit, rather a look at how a rider’s legal rights have been reduced by leaving the European Union.

For those eagle eyed amongst you who think you can simply bring an action against the insurer directly using The European Communities (Rights against Insurers) Regulations 2002, think again. That only applies for accidents in the UK, not abroad. Such legislation may well end up disappearing from the statute books entirely!
