Is this normal?

I cleaned my old BMW exactly no times in about 35,000 miles.

I have now cleaned and waxed the Ducati Mutley twice in 4,500 miles. I even wiped off white wax marks with a squirt of WD40. I cleaned the wheels with a soft cloth. If the roads are mucky I don’t take my bike out, because I don’t want to get it dirty. This is a very new set of feelings for me. Is this normal?
