John started off life as a musician culminating in reading a Music degree at Durham University. After deciding that student life was for him he remained there to read a Law Degree; following which John completed his vocational training as a barrister at Cardiff University before being called to the Bar in 2005.

Anyone who has ever been to Durham will know how hilly it is, so John thought ‘Why not get a cheap bike as a run around?’. Little did he know that his mighty 2-stroke Honda H100S would start his obsession with bikes.

John then shortly moved on to a Suzuki GS500 which he thought was the fastest thing on two wheels! Then came the Honda VFR 400 NC30 before buying the bike that he had no idea would make him the butt of many Italian/reliability jokes at White Dalton: a Ducati 748.

John maintains that he must be one of the few Ducati owners to be nuts enough to ride his 748 to work in the snow but accepts that he has to carry his AA membership card with him at all times!
