New pics online
by Jamie Wilkins on Aug.15, 2011, under Jamie Wilkins
Finally, there are some photos from Snetterton in my web gallery, thanks to
Team Principle (this week’s excessively grandiose title) Rob Wright, aka
RSRmotosport, aka RJW Consultancy. The images show the wide range of weather
we faced, including the river running through the paddock. The next round is
at Pembrey in Wales on the bank holiday. I’m sure it won’t rain there.
I’ve also added a ‘Cycling’ folder to the 2011 gallery, with a few pics from
some of the events I’ve ridden this summer between ThundersportGB rounds.
Here’s a taster, from near the top of Alpe d’Huez and suffering.
About Jamie Wilkins
The 2008 season was my novice year, and I entered Thundersport’s top class, GP1, on a GSX-R1000 K4. Racing on a shoestring, with no back-up at all and riding the oldest bike on the grid, I scored strong results against fierce competition. These performances earned recognition and praise from commentators, organisers, and rivals alike, culminating in the club’s Rookie Of The Year award.

You look like it was hard going, Jamie. If you had glanced down yoou would have seen why – someone has stolen the engine.
