Hi just read about your f800gs purchase. You mentioned that you where going to have the aftermarket spring fitted. Did you and how did it handle did it make it much lower and what did it cost .Who did it?

I am thinking about one bit find it like you a tad to high even with the low seat.

It gets you in the end, mind you I was well past 30 when I got my first Beemer - and John, you have been looking at BMW porn, the Touratech catalogue.
Now John is after sat navs and screen extensions. He is almost as tragic as me, and it took me years to get here! Admit it, you love your Beemer. Mind you, it's not a proper Beemer, it has a chain and no Boxer engine. It is a cracking bike and a few of the others here are now having a think about it. Paul has been especially cruel about John's advancing years.
I've flicked around on John's bike and being totally honest, it is a bit physically small for me, but beautifully light, very well balanced and would eat my 1200GS off road. I think it is a cracking bike, except for the chain. And John comes into work every day by bike, carrying most of Rhi's kit. What a gent.
